You’re Right On Time
So I posted some tracks from the album on my YouTube Channel. This one is called, You’re Right On Time. You wouldn’t believe how much this song helped me get through a rough time in my life. Anyways, just thought I’d let you know that if you haven’t heard the album yet that you can find some lower quality cuts on YouTube.
weworemasks.com
So I recorded a video back in June when I was in Chicago. Its for weworemasks.com a blog that has been showing me a lot of love since I dropped the Shelly EP. If you go to their blog you can find an interview I did with them a couple of weeks ago. These guys have an awesome blog and you should read it everyday. Anyways, here’s the video. I recorded it on the roof of Melissa’s apartment and I used a little Casio keyboard she had in a storage room.
Anyways, don’t forget to visit weworemasks.com and leave them some comments.
Town East Mall Show and Furr’s
So on Saturday we did the Shop Til You Rock event at the Town East Mall. It was so much fun. We had a little under 300 people kicking it out by the Macy’s. It was a cool event. The video below contains some footage of the show. Anyways, today we went to Furr’s because I thought it would be hilarious. It was. The food just wasn’t as good as I remembered. Oh well. Oh. Frankford has diarrhea. I hope he’s doing better. Speaking of diarrhea….this Furr’s is coming back to haunt me. Anyways, check out the video, leave a comment and check out the awesome VHS tapes I found.
I mean seriously, besides Batman Forever, which one of these movies suck? None of them. Exactly.
#OFFDASALSA
First of all shout outs to Pancho TNT for inventing the term, #OFFDASALSA. I’m not really sure if I’ve been using it in the correct context but I’m not sure if it really matters. Anyways, we went to Golden Chick. Its like my favorite place for spicy chicken tenders. If you haven’t been, let me know and we’ll all go together. So yeah, below you’ll see another pic that Mike Hawkins took of my friend Estefany and me. If you click the pic you can ask Mike a personal question.
Oh, and this picture was taken with my disposable camera from the stage at the Album Release Show. I know all you guys on the right, the left and the front are cut out but if you’re in the picture leave a comment that says, “PRESENT” Thanks.
Thanks Annette!
Ok first of all meet Botas. He’s Marily’s cat. He’s really chill. Most cats are rude and stuck up but Botas is like, the coolest cat on the planet. Anyways, shout outs to Annette for sending me that awesome bracelet you see in the video. Also when I got to rehearsal yesterday, Abraham was playing something new that he wrote. Then I threw a new verse on it, Danny and Jose added their expertise, we practiced it a few times and then we had a new song. So we’ll be performing it this Saturday at the show. Its at Town East Mall and we play at 3pm. The first 25 people there get a free DVD. See you all there.
Anyways, hit me up if you need any details about the show. If you have the ‘Dustin Cavazos’ iPhone Application there are details in the show section.
Mi Tierra
So whenever I come to San Antonio I have to stop at Pico De Gallo or Mi Tierra. They both have some of the best carne guisada that I’ve tasted. We wanted Pan Dulce so Mi Tierra won out. Anyways don’t forget to come out to the free show on the 24th. The first 25 get a free DVD. See you there.
I don’t even like cookies.
Daily Journal Pics
I take a picture everyday with a disposable camera. Here are some from March, I think.
JC Money Acapella
So JC Money hit me up today and asked me to make a beat for his upcoming EP. I’m always stoked to work with this talented artist because he really brings his all to any track he’s on. Plus, I’ve only heard him on a couple of good beats produced by my homie, Yours Truly. Everything else has been a sub par beat. So I really tried to deliver in today’s session. Anyways, during a food break in the session Money spit an acapella from his upcoming mixtape. Enjoy. BTW I’m fully aware that I spelled Geoff Rockwell’s name wrong. My bad. haha.
Be on the lookout for more to come from this amazing artist.
July 4th 2010
So on the Fourth of July I usually go to my parents house in Waxahachie with some friends. Its pretty much always the same thing: We eat, we swim and we pop fireworks. This year wasn’t any different except for the fact that the cops actually stopped by this year and made us give them the fireworks we had left. Good thing everyone hid them before the cop got out of the car. Anyways, check out the video below and you’ll see how we fill a Pinata with fireworks instead of candy.
All in all we had a good time and no one was hurt.
